I’ve been jotting down my thoughts and ideas in my daily art journal since I have been busy with creating and experimenting with new concept and material with my new series of works. Nevertheless, I came to realize that I should spare sometime to continue my blog to communicate with friends, old and new, about my creative journey. For the past couple of years, I have been working hard on the following new series of works- Life Imprint and Transformation series. I have integrated new material and new way of thinking with mixed media to express my exploration and interpretation of the ever-changing society and the dynamic world in which we reside. I’m happy to say, besides the work selected in a juried exhibition recently in New York, my another work- Transformation series No.1 was just chosen by Juror Nora Atkinson, the Lloyd Herman Curator of Craft at the Renwick Gallery, Smithsonian American Art Museum, to be part of MPA’s Making Sense exhibition in June, 2016. The opening reception will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at McLean Project for the Arts, VA. I look forward to meeting many friends there to enjoy the exciting works on view.
