It has been hectic since summer time. I’m glad now I can sit down and reflect on my work life in general a little bit. In August, I had an opportunity to take in an outstanding art student from Emory University. It was great teaching experience, reminded of the years when I was an art teacher at Guangxi Art College in China. I even took my students to the remote villages to learn about their folk arts and crafts. Meanwhile, I took part in a few art exhibitions, such as the juried exhibit in The Art Gallery in UMD, and the exhibit in Richmond Art Gallery in Canada, and the Cultural Exchange exhibit at the Kramer gallery in my home county of Montgomery, Maryland. It was wonderful to talk with other exhibiting artists, each brought with them their unique artistic approaches to express their vibrant cultures. I’m so glad I’m part this diverse dynamic group.
One of the most exciting and fulfilling thing I did was installing my 5-year old son Etian’s 1st Solo Exhibition- "Imagine Images", that has been a fun and successful. I’m so proud of him, who can freely express himself with “anything” around him.
